About the artist

I’m a Canadian artist with African roots and a passion for exploring different mediums (painting, watercolour, scratchboard and photography are my diverse art forms). I very much enjoy doing portraits, pets, landscapes, exotic and vintage cars and pretty much anything that inspires and challenges me!

From the wildness of animals on the African plains, to automotive and racing paintings, to portraits capturing the emotion and essence of a beloved person or pet, to rock stars and sports icons..I enjoy bringing them to life! With a degree in Fine Arts and 20 years of experience as a professional artist I bring a love of art, an accomplished and diverse skillset and unbridled passion for the craft to your project. Acrylics

I use Golden Open acrylics for their buttery beautiful textures and colours..they are similar to oils in look and feel.
Paintings are on gallery board, canvas or archival paper either mounted or framed, depending on your preference. My favourite is Ampersand board which has a lovely smooth finish!

Scratchboard

I use Ampersand Scratchboard to create unique custom Scratchboard etchings. These can be black & white or enhanced with colour. See my green-eyed cat Scratchboard!

Watercolour

This is a delicate and poetic medium which takes years to master! I love creating watercolour seascapes and landscapes. Paintings framed or mounted depending on preference.

Pastels

Pastels were my first love! I was given a small box as a child and spent endless hours happily smooshing them around the paper with my fingers! My favourite brand today is Rembrandts. I adore exploring the romantic softness of pastels. These are available framed or mounted with archival finish.

Photography

I’m an avid spur-of-the-moment ‘self-taught’ photographer. Using my beloved LUMIX, I enjoy capturing moments, moods and memories, which I use as inspiration for my artwork. Prints available in archival covers.
